Advancing Clean Energy Infrastructure & Standards
Ramayan Singh is a seasoned professional in the energy sector with a career spanning over 15 years in renewable energy advisory, research & development, testing, and standardization of solar technologies. He has played key roles in capacity building, business consulting, and providing technical assistance under major multi-institutional projects, including the training of more than 1,000 clean-tech professionals globally.
A pioneer in large-scale energy procurement models, he played a key role in drafting and executing India's first Round-the-Clock (RTC) Renewable Energy supply tender of 1 GW capacity, enabling reliable green power dispatch for Indian Railways.
Professional Journey
Research & International Alliances (2011–2014)
Began his career at the Solar Energy Centre (MNRE), working extensively on the long-term performance behaviour and technology validation of solar PV modules under the India–US and India–UK Clean Energy Initiatives. Collaborated with leading institutions including Imperial College London, Fraunhofer ISE, PTB Germany, the IITs, and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru.
NISE Scientist & Workforce Development (2015–2019)
Served as a Research Scientist at the National Institute of Solar Energy (NISE). Contributed to establishing solar training centers under the Government of India's Skill India Mission, training more than 1,000 professionals globally and mentoring over 100 university students through academic internship programs.
Corporate Leadership & Large-Scale Projects (2020–Present)
Transitioned to corporate energy consulting to implement new clean business models. Led technical advisory for the Indian Railways' landmark 1 GW RTC tender and monitored the deployment of over 200 MWp of distributed rooftop solar across the railway network via a custom monitoring platform.
